4. Bring your collection kit

On your delivery day, bring the collection kit with you to the hospital. We advise that you keep your kit beside your maternity bag so that you won’t forget about it on the day.

5. Collecting the cord blood

When your baby is born, the doctor or midwife will perform the collection using the materials from the Cells4Life collection kit. The instructions on how to use the kit is also included.

6. Call your Cells4Life representative

Call us when the cord blood has been collected by your doctor or midwife, so we can check that everything is in order and help you arrange for the sample pick-up.

7. Shipping the cord blood

The cord blood sample is shipped using the same collection kit. Our kit has a unique built-in cooling device that keeps the sample in good condition during transportation.

8. Initial testing

The cord blood sample is tested as soon as received at the lab. Usually within 3-5 working days, you will receive a report of the initial testing results via SMS and email.

9. Testing certificate

Once all testing is done and the balance amount is paid, you will receive the printed testing certificate. Your child’s cord blood sample will be stored in our lab until required for use.
